On Havlat! On Heatley! On Emery! On Reds!
It's a sweet day around here, dear readers.
Much to my smug satisfaction, my beloved Ottawa Senators quashed the Tampa Bay Lightning last night to take the series and advance to the second round - something I'd been (slightly) terrified they wouldn't be able to do, thus rendering me the victim of incessant taunting from various ignorami. But as it stands, they're 25 percent finished the trip to the Cup, and I'm pretty pleased.
I've become so fascinated by hockey this season. I've been a Sens fan for years, but to be honest, I didn't really miss it when the lockout was on, and figured I wouldn't take much note of it this season. But now - now, it's become a pretty big part of my life - or, at least, my social schedule. Funny, that.
In other news, it was a sunny and spring-like weekend around here, complete with scads of jaunty tulips on our street that seemed to show up overnight. Has anyone else noticed that we've had a really, really nice spring this year? It seems to me that in the past few, we've gone straight from winter to summer - like, from Sorels to flip flops in two weeks or something. But this year, we seem to actually be getting a good, multi-month buffer period. It's kind of nice - builds up a delicious sense of anticipation, doesn't it?

Isn't it glorious?
It's so nice not to have to deal with smug little leaf fans.
