The Grenadier Renegade

A note to all Toronto hockey fans:

Go see the Marlies play at the Ricoh at Exhibition place. The stadium is spiffy, the tickets are cheap, and the team is much more fun to watch than the Leafs (although that's not saying much this season - HOO-ah!).

Although I must confess, as a Senators fan, it was tough for me to choose my allegiance. I mean, on one hand, I just can't support any team that feeds the Leafs, even one that boasts the greasily mullettastic Brad Leeb. But on the other hand, the Iowa Stars? The HELL?!?

In the end, perhaps predictably, my loyalty went to team "expense-account beer."

  • I was checking out the Marlies website, and their roster is pretty funny. They've got these little one-word-answer profiles of a lot of the guys like they were playmates. For instance, J.F. Racine's hobbies are baseball and golf, and his biggest influence is his parents! He's dreamy!
