Obligatory anti-Valentine's rant

Thus far, I've spent most of my Valentine's Day sending snarky anti-romance e-cards and eating sugary things.

You know what? I've never been a fan of February 14, generally preferring to subscribe to the blah blah Hallmark-holiday cynical-boo camp. But I've become something of a fan of hating it. Even though I'm quite happily in a relationship (and have been for four V-days now), I've come to like lounging in sweats, drinking wine, eating chocolate and not needing cheap trinkets to validate my romantic status.

That said, I'm lucky to have lots of love in my life, and I am grateful. Particularly for the boy who happens to be a continent away right now.
