8:20 - Wow, Drew Barrymore looks pretty. Her red hair goes very well with that emerald dr- GAAAAAAH! My eyes! Drew! Wear a bra! PLEASE!
8:33 - Hey, Geena Davis is funny! Who knew? I was in total eye-rolling, sputtering, "oh-come-ON!" mode at her speech about the little girl talking about becoming the president, and then she goes and drops a big "well, that didn't really happen" on us. Well played, Thelma. Well played.
8:37 - Hugh Laurie is dashing. Pulling names out of his pocket to thank? Cute. Today's earlier post be damned. I must watch House more.
8:51 - Yay! Steve Carrell won for the Office! That's fabulous! And he's funny! Even better!
8:52 - Wait - was that Kevin Nealon sitting behind Carrell? What the hell is he doing there?
9:00 - Aw, Reese Witherspoon won. She was very likeable as June Carter. I'll support that.
9:10 - Emma Thompson is awesome. I want her to be my friend.
9:24 - Bwah! The camera just cut to a reaction shot of Jessica Alba, and she was very visibly bitching some lackey out. The camera quickly cut away. Hee. Jessica Alba sucks.
9:37 - Ugh, you all annoy me, Desperate Housewives, especially you, Longoria. We all know you hate one another. Can the "girlfriends!" vibe.
9:56 - Oh, Gwyneth. I know you're pregnant. I know you're likely uncomfortable and bloaty. But you know what doesn't help? Wearing a doily with poofy cap sleeves. You remind me of Diana in the Anne of Green Gables movies, all sweaty and itchy and stuffed into binding clothing.
10:17 - Ew! I smell Scientology! There he is. John Travolta!
10:18 - Joaquin Phoenix really deserved to win, but he looks like he's on the pills Johnny Cash worked so cinematically to get off.
10:26 - Renee Zellweger looks pissed off and unpleasant. But now she seems happy about Walk the Line winning. Weird.
10:38 - There seems to be an encouraging mini-trend going on among female celebrities. Mariah Carey, Debra Messing, Gwyneth (okay, she's pregnant, but still) all have a bit of meat on their bones. And they look really pretty and healthy and happy. I only hope these images aren't wrongly categorized as "before" shots in some glossy magazine in a few months.
