Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens came in 11th and 12th, respectively

Following a tag from Tara:

"Name ten of life's simple pleasures that you like most, then tag some people to do the same. Try to be original and creative and not to use things that someone else has already used."

1. Good beer. Something with flavour and depth, ideally consumed on a sun-filled patio with a side of smart and funny conversation.
2. The smell of coconut. Whether it comes from a pina colada, a Bounty bar or skin freshly slicked with Coppertone (best), it always, always elicits a very primal (and very wonderful) sensory response. Mmm.
3. Bellies. Big or wee, flabby or toned, furry or smooth, I loves me a midriff. God help me if I ever get pregnant.
4. You know when you see a little kid, like, under two years old, and he or she is just kind of off in his or her funny little world, obliviously running around and chirping out gibberish and generally going bonkers? That.
5. The Sunnyside Beach-High Park one-two punch on a Saturday morning run. It’s like a condensed tour of Toronto’s prettiest things.
6. Sun. Maybe it’s the time of year, but I can’t get enough of it right now.
7. Roncesvalles Ave. Funny how passionately I’ve come to love my ‘hood in the nine months I’ve lived here. Every time I walk down the street, I find myself saying so to myself, or whomever I happen to be with. Nearly all of the good things in life can be found between Howard Park and Queen.
8. Endorphins. From a workout, food, sex, whatever. They’re glorious.
9. When I can precisely encapsulate a thought with the perfect combination of words and punctuation. It sounds pretentious/geeky, but writing is what I do, and when I do it well, it’s a total high.
10. Food. (To which everyone who knows me says “…finally!”). Oh, food. A life without fruit, peanut butter, red curry with prawns, cheese, medium-rare burgers with mushrooms, cookie dough, sushi, pasta, grilled veggie sandwiches with hummus, garlic, street meat, cereal, Greek salad, nachos, fresh bread or buttery popcorn (to skim the surface) is, quite frankly, not worth living.

Now to the tagging: Nicole, Ryan and Freeman. Bring it.
